A way of living suspended
Eden Beach sits on a strip of sand between Royal Road and the Grand Baie lagoon. Coffee in the morning, facing the water. At midday the grill takes over: catch of the day, prawns, meat cooked properly. The afternoon belongs to the sunbeds. Then the sun drops, the light turns orange, and the terrace shifts gear. We invent nothing. We follow the day. You come for an hour and leave three hours later.
“Here, every hour has its light,
and every light its ritual.”
