Who we are

Eden Beach restaurant, Royal Road, Grand Baie, Mauritius, is operated by GDL Limited, a company registered in Mauritius under number C12107889 (VAT 27128927). GDL Limited is responsible for the processing described here.

What we collect

When you book a table or a beach spot, by phone, WhatsApp or on our website, we record: your name, phone number, e-mail address if you choose to give it, party size, date and time of your visit, special requests and language preference. If a deposit applies, we keep the proof of payment you send us. If you are a regular guest, we keep a note of your preferences so we can welcome you better.

Why we use it

This information is used only to manage your booking: confirming it, letting you know of any change, preparing your visit and, where a deposit applies, tracking it. If you provided your e-mail address, we send you the confirmations and reminders related to your booking. You may decline these e-mails: your booking remains valid.

Who can access it

Your information is handled by the restaurant team and our technical providers: Supabase (secure database hosting, servers in the European Union), Resend (booking e-mails), Cloudflare Turnstile (form protection against bots, with no advertising cookie) and Vercel (hosting of the booking application). The website is hosted by Hostinger. No data is ever sold or shared for advertising purposes.

How long we keep it

Booking data is deleted 90 days after the date of your visit. The regular-guest file (contact details and preferences) is kept for as long as you visit us and deleted on request.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data by writing to Fg@edenbeach.mu. We reply as promptly as we can. These rights apply under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, for European Union residents, the General Data Protection Regulation.

Cookies

The website and the booking application only use technical cookies strictly necessary for their operation. No advertising or tracking cookie is set.
